Bible in a Year: Job 39-40; Acts 23

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." — John 8:36

Today's Scripture & Insight: John 8:34-38

Addictions can hold us captive and take away our joy, peace, and sense of purpose. It seems impossible to get away from them, but there is hope. True freedom is found in Christ.

John 8:36 says, " So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." Jesus gives people freedom from their addictions. We can find strength, healing, and a new life through His power to save us.

Know that you don't have to deal with addiction on your own if you or someone you care about is having trouble with it. God wants you to tell Him about your problems. Through prayer, surrender, and dependence on Him, you can find the courage to seek help, make positive choices, and overcome the cycles of addiction.

Building a solid foundation of faith is vital for recovery. Surround yourself with a supportive community of believers who can offer encouragement, accountability, and prayer. Engage in regular Bible study and prayer, allowing God's Word to transform your mind and heart.

Remember that getting better is a journey. There may be setbacks and problems, but with God's help, you can make changes that last. Accept the fact that Christ has made you a new person, free from the chains of addiction.

Reflect & Pray

Take a moment to bring your struggles and the struggles of others battling addiction before God. Pray for strength, healing, and divine intervention. Trust that God's love and grace are sufficient to bring transformation and restoration.

Loving Father, we come before You with our brokenness and addictions. Set us free, Lord, and grant us the strength to walk in the path of recovery. Surround us with a supportive community and guide us with Your wisdom. May our lives bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.
