Bible in a Year: 2 Chronicles 34–36; John 14:15–31

"For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding." — Proverbs 2:6

Today's Scripture & Insight: Proverbs 2:1-11

Life presents us with countless decisions—some trivial, others life-altering. Navigating these choices can be daunting, and sometimes we may feel lost and uncertain of the right path to take.

In Proverbs, Solomon writes about the pursuit of wisdom. He doesn't describe it as a gift casually handed to us but as a treasure to be sought after, a reward for those who diligently seek it. Wisdom, in this sense, isn't merely about intelligence or knowledge; it's about understanding life from God's perspective and making decisions guided by His truth.

When we seek God's wisdom, it's like walking with a lantern on a dark path. The light doesn't show everything at once, but it illuminates each step we take, providing just enough light to guide our way.

As we journey through life's complexities, let's seek the Lord's wisdom above all. Let's immerse ourselves in His Word, spend time in prayer, and invite His Spirit to guide us.

Reflect & Pray

Where in your life do you need God's wisdom? How can you seek His wisdom in your daily decisions?

Father, thank you for the promise of wisdom when we seek it. Guide our decisions and steps according to Your wisdom. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
