Answered Prayers
Bible in a Year: Job 17-18; Acts 12
"Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear." — Isaiah 65:24
Today's Scripture & Insight: Isaiah 65:17-25
One evening, after a long day at work, Karen found herself tearfully praying for her son who was going through a difficult time. She felt helpless, unsure of how to provide the support he needed. As she prayed, she was reminded of a verse she'd read, Isaiah 65:24: "Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear."
This powerful verse reassures us of God's promise to answer our prayers. Sometimes, the answer may not come in the way or at the time we expect, but God is always listening, always responding.
In a world where immediate gratification has become the norm, waiting for God's answers can be challenging. Yet, it's in the stillness and silence that we often experience His presence most profoundly. It's during these times that we learn to trust in His perfect timing and wise plans.
God's responses to our prayers may not always align with our expectations. His answers might come in the form of a changed situation, a newfound strength, a lesson learned, or even a shift in perspective. However, one thing is certain: He hears, and He answers.
Are you, like Karen, waiting for God's response? Remember His promise in Isaiah. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep watching for His intervention. God hears your prayers, and He will answer in His perfect time and way.
Reflect & Pray
What prayers are you waiting for God to answer? How can you trust Him while you wait?
Lord, thank You for the promise that You hear and answer our prayers. Help us to trust in Your perfect timing and wisdom as we wait for Your responses. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
