Divine Plans
Bible in a Year: Job 19-20; Acts 13
"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." — Genesis 50:20
Today's Scripture & Insight: Genesis 50:15-21
After years of personal struggle and loss, Michelle found herself wondering why life seemed so hard. It was during a conversation with a close friend that she heard a perspective she'd never considered before: "Sometimes, Michelle, what we see as a setback is actually a setup for something good God has planned."
The story of Joseph in the Book of Genesis illustrates this truth perfectly. Sold into slavery by his own brothers, Joseph went through years of hardship, betrayal, and injustice. Yet, in the end, God used these trials for good, positioning Joseph to save his family during a time of famine.
Joseph's story shows us that what the enemy intends for evil, God can use for good. It's a powerful reminder that God is sovereign, able to turn around even the most difficult circumstances for His glory and our benefit.
In the face of trials, we might be tempted to question God's plan. However, as Michelle learned, shifting our perspective can help us see that God is working behind the scenes, turning setbacks into setups for His glory.
Are you, like Michelle, feeling overwhelmed by the trials in your life? Remember Joseph's story. Trust that God is at work, turning what the enemy intended for harm into something good.
Reflect & Pray
What trials are you facing today? How can you trust God to turn these situations into something good?
Lord, thank You for Your sovereignty over our lives. Help us trust You when we face trials, knowing that You can turn evil intentions into good. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
