Mountain vista - We get to see great things when we are embracing biblical optimism

Bible in a Year: Psalm 22-24; Romans 4

"We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." — Romans 8:28

Today's Scripture & Insight: Romans 8:28-30

As a business owner, Jacob had to deal with a number of problems. Every time he tried to make a plan, something went wrong, and it was starting to get to him. He felt like he was losing control and began to wonder if God was with him in what he was trying to do.

When Jacob was having doubts, Romans 8:28 helped him. It says, "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

This verse is a great example of biblical optimism, which is having full faith that God has a plan and that His plan will win. It reminds us that God is always at work in our lives, even when things don't go the way we planned.

Biblical optimism doesn't mean ignoring or denying reality or problems. Instead, it means having faith in God's overall control and trusting that, no matter what challenges we face, He will lead us to His good plan.

Like Jacob, are you having trouble and not knowing what to do? Embrace biblical optimism. Take heart in the promise that God's plan will win, and trust that He is working everything out for your good.

Reflect & Pray

What challenges are you currently facing? How can embracing biblical optimism help you trust in God's plan?

Dear Lord, thank You for the assurance that You are working all things for our good. Help us to embrace biblical optimism, trusting in Your sovereignty and Your perfect plan, even in times of difficulty. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
