Embracing God's Unfailing Love
Bible in a Year: 1 Chronicles 1–3; John 5:31–47
"Give thanks to the LORD; his faithful love endures forever!" 2 Chronicles 20:21
Today's Scripture & Insight: 2 Chronicles 20:20–24
In a world where relationships are often based on conditions and expectations, it can be hard to understand what unconditional love means. But this is exactly the kind of love that God offers us: a love that never changes, never fails, and never ends.
In the book of 2 Chronicles, King Jehoshaphat was getting ready for a fight with a huge enemy. But instead of being afraid, Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah decided to stand firm in their faith and praise God, knowing that His love never changes (2 Chronicles 20:21). They knew that their hope wasn't in their own strength but in God's love and mercy that never changes. This faith, this trust in God's love, is what allowed God to save them.
God's love for us is as constant as it was for King Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah. Our circumstances, failures, or disappointments cannot diminish God's love. He stays true even when we falter.
Let's not forget to praise and thank our God, whose love lasts forever. And as we do this, may we find the courage to face whatever battles we face, trusting in His love that never changes.
Reflect & Pray
How have you experienced God's unfailing love in your life? How can you extend this love to others?
Lord, thank You for Your love that endures all things. Help us to trust in Your love and to reflect it in our lives.
