The Gift of Grace
Bible in a Year: 1 Chronicles 17–19; John 7:28–53
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." Ephesians 2:8
Today's Scripture & Insight: Ephesians 2:1–10
Grace is a beautiful and powerful concept in Christian theology. It’s the unmerited favor we receive from God, which saves us and sustains us. We have all sinned and fallen short of God's glory, but by His grace, we are offered salvation and redemption.
In Paul's letter to the Ephesians, he explained that it is not by our works that we are saved, but by the grace of God (Ephesians 2:8). This truth brings comfort and hope, emphasizing that our salvation is not dependent on our strength or perfection, but on the endless love and mercy of our Heavenly Father.
Grace is a gift, freely given, and can transform our lives. It empowers us to live with a sense of freedom and joy, knowing that even when we falter, we are still loved and accepted by God.
As we move through our days, let us always remember this extraordinary gift of grace. Let it inspire us to extend grace to others, just as it has been extended to us.
Reflect & Pray
