Trust the Process
Bible in a Year: Psalm 25-27; Romans 5
"Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD." — Psalm 27:14
Today's Scripture & Insight: Psalm 27:13-14
We don't have much patience because we live in a world that moves so quickly. Angela had trouble with this when her career was uncertain for a long time. She wanted to move forward and have more clarity, but instead, she was stuck in a time of waiting.
Angela found comfort in Psalm 27:14, which says, " Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD." This verse reminded her that God's timing is perfect and that waiting is often a part of the journey He has for us.
Abraham, Joseph, and David are just a few of the people in the Bible who had to wait for God's time. Their stories show us that being patient isn't just about being able to wait. It's also about how we wait and how much faith we keep while we do it.
Patience shows us that we are not in charge, but it also tells us that we can trust God, who is in charge. He's working behind the scenes to shape us and get us ready for what's to come.
Like Angela, are you having trouble being patient while you wait? Don't lose hope, and be strong. Trust God's timing and remember that His plans are always worth the wait.
Reflect & Pray
In what areas of your life are you struggling with patience? How can trusting in God's perfect timing ease your anxiety during the wait?
Dear Lord, grant us patience to trust Your perfect timing. Help us remember that You are in control and Your plans for us are always worth the wait. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
