Unending Love
Bible in a Year: Psalm 13-15; Romans 1
"Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good. His love endures forever." — Psalm 136:1
Today's Scripture & Insight: Psalm 136:1-9
When Thomas lost his job, he began to wonder about God's plan. His faith seemed to be on shaky ground, and he lost faith in himself. But while reading his Bible late one night, he came across Psalm 136:1 "Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good. His love endures forever."
This Psalm is a song of thanksgiving that talks about God's unchanging love and great works. Each verse ends with the same refrain: "His love endures forever." This emphasizes that God's love and mercy last forever. It's a powerful reminder that God's love for us never changes, no matter what we're going through.
During the ups and downs of life, it can be easy to forget about this love that lasts. But it's in these times that we should hold on to this truth. God's love for us is not based on how we feel or what we understand. It just is, and it's always there.
Like Thomas, are you going through a hard time? Remember Psalm 136. Let it remind you of how much God has always loved you. His love will always be there for you, and He will be with you no matter what.
