You Are Not Alone
Bible in a Year: Psalm 19-21; Romans 3
"The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18
Today's Scripture & Insight: Psalm 34:17-20
When Emily's husband died, she was surrounded by an unwelcome shroud of loneliness. Her days used to be full of laughter and company, but now they seemed empty and never-ending. She felt alone all the time, and it was a harsh reminder of her new life.
Emily found comfort in Psalm 34:18, which says, "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." This verse is a sweet reminder of how close God is and how much He cares for us, especially when we feel alone and isolated.
God has told us that He will never leave us or abandon us because He loves and cares for us so much. He is with us even when we feel the most alone. His presence can fill us up, make us feel better, and give us new life.
Feeling alone, like Emily? Remember that God is close to those who are brokenhearted. He knows what you're going through, cares about you, and is ready to wrap you in His loving arms.
